Online job applications, e-learning, Internet banking, online social networks, computerized entertainment are all becoming the norm.

Course content is divided into three catagories: Computer Fundamentals; Key Applications; and Living Online.
- Computer Fundamentals covers the basics of computer components, hardware functionality & troubleshooting, networking, peripheral devices, operating systems, software, and computer safety.
- Key Applications covers entry level skills in Microsoft Office 2007, specifically hands-on training in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Living Online addresses Internet usage and etiquette, collaboration in a network environment, electronic communication and e-mail, and entry level skills in Microsoft Outlook 2007.
This course prepares students for the IC3 certification exams; the course fee includes the cost of the exams.
